10. More Android Phones

With Google’s mobile OS now rolled out to Verizon through the Motorola Droid and HTC Droid Eris, Android popularity is going to blast off in 2010. Since VZW has the largest mobile customer base in the US there will be much more incentive for developers to release new applications and phone manufacturers to run Android on their devices.
9. Halo Reach
The next title to drop from the Halo universe is Halo:Reach. This title takes a step back even further than Halo: ODST did. In this game, for the first time Halo fans will be introduced to Spartans other than Master Chief on the colony of Reach. After declaring the end of the story line for the Halo Trilogy, Bungie has taken on the task of filling in its fans with all the background information leading up to the first Halo game, Halo: Combat Evolved. Its just great that they are giving their fans the opportunity to play out the Halo history rather than just read about it. Oh, and there will be a new Match Making multiplayer experience which is great news for those who have been playing Halo 3 multiplayer for the last 3 years. If you bought Halo: ODST, then look for the invitation to the BETA coming in the near future.
8. The A-Team
“I ain’t getting on no plane fool!” B.A. Baracus and the rest of the A-Team is coming to the big screen in 2010. Though Mr. T won’t be in this flick, as he turned down the opportunity
for a cameo appearance, the A-Team has potential for a great remake. I can hear the theme music now.
7. More Google Vs. Microsoft(Bing) Fights
Microsoft came out swinging in 2009 with their new search engine Bing and is actually holding their ground pretty well against the search giant Google. The integration of twitter in Bing Maps was a big move, but then Google introduced their search in real time via twitter functionality. Also, Google Goggles came to the mobile scene after Microsoft released their Bing phone application. The fight has only just begun so what’s next guys?
6. NFL 2010 Season
It always seems that the sports world gets a little blan after football season is over. So simply put, after the superbowl, many sports fans will instantly be eagerly awaiting the start of the new NFL season.
5. The Next Humanitarian Fad (Going Clean)
The mainstream movement from new major diet plans a few years ago to the more recent Going Green initiative, what’s next? Perhaps keeping one’s personal spacial environment completely clean and free of body odor will ultimately reduce carbon emissions and help you lose weight at the same time while also encouraging world peace.
4. Selena Gomez & Miley Cyrus’ birthday
I hate to say it and am actually uncomfortable including this one on the list, but you know its going to happen. The 18th birthday of female teenage super stars. Every time such an event occurs, the celebrity girl turned woman (as far as the media is concerned) has a big decision to make: To gain more popularity through “sex sells” antics or to take the high and dry road to celebrity adulthood. All I have to say is, what are the Olsen twins doing?
3. 4G Phones
Smartphones became a big deal in 2009, though, there still are a lot of users that don’t have one. In 2010, those people without smartphones will feel pretty left out with all the progress being made in the field. With 4G networks being rolled out, Smartphones will finally get the speed they deserve and memories of 2009 will feel like when you had “dial up” internet on your phone.
2. Tiger Woods
I’m not going to put Tiger’s personal life out there as the media has already killed that horse about 20 times, but we all want to see what Wood’s leaving golf “indefinitely” really means. Can he stay off of the golf course for a whole year or will Tiger make his comeback and win back his fans in 2010?
1. Lebron James
Yes, anther athlete made the list, but this is huge! As you may or may not know, Lebron James’ contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers ends after the 2009-2010 season. Will he stay or will he leave? What if the Cavs will it all this year? Will that be enough incentive to stay? With rumors of James possibly going to New York to play for the Knicks, we all want to know how those Kobe and Lebron puppet Nike commercials will turn out. East coast/West coast rivalry again?
